Business Expense Calculator

Add monthly business expense categories and calculate an annualized planning total.

Default values are illustrative examples, not official rates or Remizen results.

Monthly total: $0.00

Annualized total: $0.00

Methodology

Monthly total = travel + meals + software + office + other. Annualized total = monthly total × 12. Annualization assumes the same monthly spending throughout the year; it is not an accounting forecast or deductible-expense calculation.

Example

$500 travel + $100 meals + $300 software + $200 office + $100 other = $1,200 monthly, or $14,400 annualized.

Guidance

  • Use one currency and one reporting period for every input. Convert foreign-currency costs consistently before adding them.
  • Record purchases once. A corporate-card purchase and the payment of the card balance should not both be counted as operating expenses.
  • Account separately for seasonality, capital expenditure, tax treatment, and prepaid items. Those distinctions need accounting judgment beyond a simple planning total.

FAQs

Does annualized mean a forecast?
No. It repeats the entered month twelve times and does not account for growth or seasonal changes.
Are all these expenses tax deductible?
No. Category inclusion is not a tax determination.
Can I mix currencies?
No. Convert to a consistent reporting currency before entering the values.
