Tool
Expense Savings Calculator
Model expense-processing labor savings from your own assumptions, without a promised ROI.
Default values are illustrative examples, not official rates or Remizen results.
Net monthly modeled value: $1,133.33
Gross monthly labor value: $1,333.33
Monthly hours saved: 33.33 hours
Methodology
Monthly hours saved = employees × reports per month × (current minutes − scenario minutes) ÷ 60. Gross labor value = hours saved × loaded hourly cost. Net modeled value = gross labor value − monthly scenario software cost. Negative results are preserved.
Example
100 employees × 2 reports × 10 minutes saved ÷ 60 = 33.33 hours. At $40/hour, gross modeled value is $1,333.33; after $200 scenario software cost, net value is $1,133.33.
Guidance
- Include preparation, review, follow-up, and accounting work consistently in both timing measurements. Comparing unlike processes makes the result misleading.
- Labor capacity freed is not necessarily a cash saving. Salaries may stay the same even when employees can spend more time on other work.
- Use a pilot or measured workflow sample to validate your assumptions. The model omits implementation, training, errors, and non-labor benefits unless included in your costs.
FAQs
- Is this a Remizen performance claim?
- No. It is an illustrative model using your inputs, not a measured Remizen result or guarantee.
- Why can savings be negative?
- A slower scenario or higher software cost can outweigh the modeled labor value. The calculator does not hide an unfavorable result.
- What should loaded hourly cost include?
- Use a consistent internal estimate of compensation and applicable employer costs; do not substitute an unsupported industry average.
